Quorn's tourist
attractions include its many "unspoiled" streetscapes and historic buildings
(utilised as sets in various famous Australian
movies),
numerous bush-walking trails, scenic drives, a real country town atmosphere, and an ideal
location on which to base a Flinders Ranges holiday.
The town and immediate surrounds has a population of 1400. Ouorn serves as
a small service centre to tourism, farming and the pastoral industry. These are the main
industries in the Flinders Ranges Council district. It also has residential appeal for a
number of Port Augusta workers who, requiring a relaxed small town lifestyle, commute
daily.
Quorn is 293 metres above sea level, with the highest
nearby point being Mount Brown at 965 metres.
