Map

Travel south from Quorn to Wilmington via the sealed road. If road conditions are dry you may wish to turn right 13 km south of Quorn and travel along the Gunyah Scenic Drive (earth and gravel road ) to Wilmington.

At Wilmington take the road through Horrock's Pass towards Highway One and Port Augusta. Three kilometres along this road (west of Wilmington) take the dirt track on the left and travel across country several kilometres to Hancock's Lookout. This gives splendid panoramic views over upper Spencer Gulf from an attractive picnic location.

Once back on the main Horrock's Pass road travel to Highway One taking time to enjoy the views. Take the Quorn Road through Stirling North past the oldest hotel in the area and enjoy the drive through Pichi richi Pass to Quorn. Take note of Mt Brown, Devil's Peak and the historic Pichi Richi Railway route along the way. Note also the height of each railway station as you proceed to Summit, the last station before Quorn.
